Future of Women’s Golf Pro-Am, presented by Crosby Brownlie

The Danielle Downey Credit Union officially begins on Monday with the most unique pro-am seen on the tour. Each competing team consists of three amateur players, a Symetra Tour professional and a local high school female golfer. Connecting the pros with local sponsors and local golf talent serves to inspire young players who are the future of golf by pairing them with the current stars. This pro-am dates back to when the LPGA was a regular event in Rochester, and Danielle Downey invited her friends on the LPGA tour to come to Brook-Lea CC to play in this event. The 15th Annual Future of Women’s Golf Pro-Am will again be a wonderful tribute to what Danielle believed in.

Wednesday Morning Pro-Am, presented by Ad Pro Sports

The Wednesday “9 and 9” pro-am allows local amateurs to be paired with two Symetra Tour players during their round. Each team is paired with one professional player on the front-nine and as they make the turn, they swap pros and get paired with another on the back-nine. This allows each team the opportunity to share their day with two players and exposes our community to twice as many of these future LPGA stars.

Wednesday Afternoon Pro-Am, presented by Syracuse University Athletics

The Wednesday afternoon is a standard 18 hole scramble format that allows three amateurs to team with an LPGA Symetra Tour professional. This is a really fun team event where most of the groups have an affinity with their college, business, country club or some other affiliation and is generally filled by invitation only. The “bragging rights” are a huge part of the prize for winning this event!
