In our first five years, we have seen players who have gone on to great success on the LPGA Tour. Five players have either won multiple tournaments on the LPGA Tour or recorded a win in a Major Tournament!

Brooke Henderson (13 LPGA wins, One Major)

Played in the DDCUC in 2015 shooting a 7 under par score of 281, and a few weeks later won her first of 9 LPGA Tournaments on a sponsor invitation. Since then she has also finished 7th in the Olympics representing her home country of Canada and won a major in the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She is currently ranked #6 in the world.

Nelly Korda (8 LPGA Wins)

Played in the DDCUC in 2016, shooting a 10 under par score of 278, in her only year on the Symetra Tour. She finished 9th on the Symetra Tour Money List earning LPGA status. She is now ranked #3 in the world, with four victories on the LPGA Tour.

Hannah Green (3 LPGA Wins, One Major)

Hannah played in the 2017 DDCUC finishing third with a 14 under par score of 274. She knew it was going to be a great week when she made a hole in one in her practice round. Since then she has won twice on the LPGA Tour, including a major at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in 2019. She was a rookie on the LPGA Tour in 2018 and is currently ranked 21st in the world.

Sophia Popov (1 LPGA Win, One Major)

Sophia played in our event in 2016, and 2018 and was slated to be here in 2020 until the pandemic caused the cancellation of that portion of the Symetra Tour season. She subsequently qualified for the 2020 AIG Women’s (British) Open, and shocked the sports world when she won the event becoming a first time winner and a major champion. She is currently ranked 23rd in the world.   

Patty Tavatanakit (1 LPGA Win, One Major)

Patty is the defending champion of the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic, but has risen to the top of the Women’s Golf World with lightning speed! Patty shot a score of 20 under par 268 at Brook-Lea and her eagle “hole out” on the par 4, 8th hole made the top plays of the day on ESPN. She moved up the 13th in the world after her 18 under par total at the ANA Inspiration, winning her first LPGA event and her fits Major Tournament.
